A clear borosilicate glass ring with colored dots, inspired by the performances in which Yayoi Kusama painted dots on the body. Because the glass is transparent, the dots seem to sit right on your skin. An elegant, modern piece with plenty of character. Kusama was about ten years old when, after staring at a tablecloth printed with red flowers, she began to see dots everywhere, even on her own body. She called the feeling of dissolving into the dots self-obliteration, and instead of running from it, she turned it into her work. In the sixties she took it to the streets: in New York she painted large dots on the bodies of the people taking part in her performances, so they would merge with everything around them. This ring picks up that gesture: the glass almost disappears on your hand, and what remains are the dots, as if she had painted them on you herself. Handmade at the torch and without a mold, every ring has its dots in a different place.

Each piece is handcrafted artisanally, which is why every piece is unique and unrepeatable. Although similar, it will not be identical to what you are seeing.
